Yes, the parser has some delay in this case.
We will try to improve it for comment detection.

If a line starts with // then code suggestions should not be offered. Similarly if i am writing something such as echo(" then code shortcuts should not be offered as they are highly unlikely to be chosen or wanted.

Is there any way to suppress this behaviour in those scenarios only (they cause more problems than they fix) or is it a case of having the IDE show the shortcuts on everything or nothing?
